Africa-Asia Development University Network
About AADUN
Africa-Asia Development University Network (AADUN) was established in 2008 following a discussion during Asia Africa Conference in 2005. The conference which took place in Bandung, Indonesia was attended by several countries such as Algeria, South Africa and Japan along with United Nations organisations such as United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), United Nations University (UNU) and United Nations Development Program (UNDP). UM then collaborated with UNDP to establish AADUN in 2008 under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Hamzah b. Hj. Abdul Rahman.
Objectives of AADUN

To encourage and support research collaborations and partnerships between universities in Africa and Asia in order to find solutions to acute societal problems across continents.

To develop a network among universities, libraries, research institutions and centre of excellence.

To focus on sustainable development, food security, rural development and technologies.

To collaborate with UNDP
