About CLAS
The
Centre of Latin America Studies (CLAS) was founded in July 2013 to promote research and knowledge exchange between Southeast Asia and Latin America. The CLAS staff is involved in research across a wide range of disciplines, including history, sociology, politics, anthropology, economics, development and cultural studies.
The mission of CLAS is to promote global understanding through support for comparative research in and on Latin America, and the diverse diasporic communities of Latin America. CLAS provides an intellectual environment to realize cutting-edge research, and researchers with a large educational experience and a solid path. Through its community engagement programs, CLAS shares its resources regionally, nationally, and internationally.
